The Teaching-Family Association will host its 45th Annual TFA Conference from October 30 – November 2 in Indianapolis, IN. Headlined by Keynote Speaker & retired WNBA superstar Tamika Catchings, “A Game-Changing Journey: Lighting the Way and Driving Quality” will feature more than 40 hours of educational programming over the course of 3 days.

Hosted in conjunction with TFA-accredited agencies Firefly Children & Family Alliance, Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home (IUMCH), and Josiah White’s, this year’s conference is focused on providing the vision, inspiration, and challenges to continually improving process and practice in the realms of human and social services.

One of the most decorated athletes of all time, Catchings is also the founder of the Catch the Stars Foundation, which empowers youth by providing goal setting programs that promote fitness, literacy, and youth development. In her keynote speech, she will share her success story and provide inspiration to the attendees.

In addition to Catchings, Joshua Christian Oswald will speak at the Administrators Luncheon. Oswald is an alumnus of the child welfare system, a dedicated advocate for child welfare reform, and currently serves a Policy Coordinator at IARCA.

TFA is a network of providers around the world committed to best practices for persons and families served in a comprehensive continuum throughout a number of individualized settings. The Teaching Family model is a program backed up by the implementation of evidence-based, researched practices supported by operationalized standards.

The conference will be hosted at the Hilton Indianapolis Hotel beginning Sunday, October 30.
