APRIL IS CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH

We all play a part in keeping kids safe.

You can help create stronger families and communities.

Introduced in 2008 as a symbol of child abuse prevention, the pinwheel represents childlike whimsy and lightheartedness. It symbolizes the vision for a world where all children grow up happy, healthy, and prepared to succeed in supportive families and communities.

In January alone, there were nearly 2,000 substantiated reports of child abuse or neglect in Indiana. In 2024, there were more than 24,000. You can help reduce this staggering number and keep more kids safe.

Now more than ever, Hoosier families need your help staying afloat. This is a time of uncertainty for many of our neighbors. As uncertainty rises, so too does the number of child abuse and neglect cases. But, with your help, families can receive more stability, education, and be the best version of themselves.

Please consider making a donation to Firefly in honor of the children in your life. Our goal is to raise $20,000 by April 30. All gifts will be matched by a very generous donor up to a total of $10,000.
