\u00ab Que veux-tu faire de ta vie ? est une question \u00e0 laquelle nous devons tous r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 un moment donn\u00e9. Les coll\u00e9giens, les lyc\u00e9ens et m\u00eame les coll\u00e9giens sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 faire un choix de carri\u00e8re de plus en plus t\u00f4t. Pour certains d'entre nous, d\u00e9couvrir notre chemin dans la vie est facile et pour d'autres, c'est plus difficile. Je savais que je voulais \u00eatre assistante sociale \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole primaire, mais je ne savais pas que c'\u00e9tait ainsi. Je savais juste que je voulais aider les enfants.<\/p>\n

Le travail social est l'une des professions les plus nobles et les plus polyvalentes, mais beaucoup de gens pensent encore que les travailleurs sociaux ont des lunettes roses et distribuent du fromage du gouvernement. Alors qu'en fait, les travailleurs sociaux ont le meilleur pouls des luttes des personnes marginalis\u00e9es. Pendant mon programme MSW, j'ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 combien de choses diff\u00e9rentes je pouvais faire avec mon dipl\u00f4me - travailler avec des enfants et des adultes qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 maltrait\u00e9s, aux prises avec une maladie mentale ou qui ont des probl\u00e8mes de toxicomanie. Si vous voulez aider les autres et croire que les gens peuvent changer, je vous encourage \u00e0\u00a0consid\u00e9rer la profession de travailleur social<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Voici quelques-unes des qualit\u00e9s que poss\u00e8dent les travailleurs sociaux :<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Vous voyez la valeur et la valeur de chacun.<\/li>\n
  2. Vous croyez que tout le monde peut changer.<\/li>\n
  3. Vous voyez des lacunes dans votre communaut\u00e9 et vous voulez plaider en faveur du changement.<\/li>\n
  4. Vous faites preuve d'esprit critique.<\/li>\n
  5. Vous \u00eates empathique.<\/li>\n
  6. Les gens vous disent que vous \u00eates un bon auditeur.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Les travailleurs sociaux sont partout et font partie du tissu de nos communaut\u00e9s. Vous trouverez des travailleurs sociaux dans les \u00e9coles, les \u00e9tablissements correctionnels, les h\u00f4pitaux, les soins \u00e0 domicile, les refuges pour victimes de violence domestique, les organisations communautaires, les hospices, les conseils priv\u00e9s, le lobbying pour le changement social, la sant\u00e9 mentale, la toxicomanie, et la liste s'allonge encore et encore. J'ai pu travailler dans de nombreux domaines diff\u00e9rents gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la flexibilit\u00e9 du dipl\u00f4me, qui est probablement ce que j'aime le plus dans la profession.<\/p>\n

    Si vous souhaitez travailler avec des personnes partageant les m\u00eames id\u00e9es, qui vous soutiennent et qui participent \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s qui vous inspirent et vous \u00e9merveillent, le travail social peut \u00eatre la carri\u00e8re qu'il vous faut. Si vous aimez un horaire de travail flexible et que vos journ\u00e9es ne soient jamais les m\u00eames, ne pensez pas plus loin que le travail social.
