Our organization is built on the belief that giving kids and adults the chance to succeed creates stronger communities. We help Hoosiers overcome hardship and unhealthy behaviors. Our programs and services include child abuse prevention, home-based services, youth placement and recovery services.<\/p>\n

Our vision is one of\u00a0healthy communities of thriving people<\/em>. Our mission is empowering individuals to build stronger families and communities<\/em>. Our History<\/h3>\n

[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.25.1″ _module_preset=”default” locked=”off” global_colors_info=”{}”]Our history dates back to 1851 and the Widows and Orphans Friends\u2019 Society, an offshoot of the Indianapolis Benevolent Society. Over the years, our organization combined forces with other nonprofits to broaden our reach and make a larger impact. In 2021, Children\u2019s Bureau and Families First, two of Central Indiana\u2019s most respected nonprofits, merged to become Firefly Children and Family Alliance.
